The Village Board of Trustee’s met in Special Session, those in attendance were, President Kim Adair, Trustee Rusty Harper, Trustee Craig Clifton, Trustee Nancy Byers, Trustee Steve Stortzum, Trustee Gina Rinehart, Trustee Angie Frye, Clerk Angela Stanfield, Treasurer Stephanie Bailey, Superintendent Troy Elwood and Darren Rice of Fye Law Office.

President Kim Adair Adair called the meeting to order at 6:05 PM.

Roll Call taken and the following Village authorities announced present at the beginning of the October 30, 2017 Special Meeting; President Kim Adair, Trustee Craig Clifton, Trustee Rusty Harper, Trustee Nancy Byers, Trustee Steve Stortzum, Trustee Angie Frye and Trustee Gina Rinehart.

Pledge of Allegiance followed.

A motion made by Trustee Byers and seconded by Trustee Clifton to approve the agenda for October 30, 2017 Special Meeting.

Superintendent Troy Elwood discussed building permit submitted from Kristin and Karl Young at 325 Esco Street requesting to install a temporary carport. Superintendent Elwood inspected the property and reported the temporary carport would exceed the 325 Esco Street property line and extend into Esco Street, which is a village owned street. Superintendent Elwood informed Kristin and Karl Young of property line issue and Kristin and Karl Young asked Superintendent Elwood to ask the village board to consider a variance to allow installation of temporary carport. Village board discussed variance request from Kristin and Karl Young at 325 Esco Street, and a motion was made by Trustee Frye and seconded by Trustee Byers to deny the variance request from Kristin and Karly Young. Trustee Clifton voting No.

A motion made by Trustee Rinehart and seconded by Trustee Frye to approve employee flu shots.

Village board discussed legal counsel. A motion was made by Trustee Frye and seconded by Trustee Rinehart to accept the resignation of Attorney Barry Bright effective as of October 23, 2017.

Village board discussed legal counsel and contract agreement revisions to enter into a vendor contract agreement with new village attorney for legal counsel.

Village board discussed entering into a vendor contract agreement with Attorney Darren Rice of Fyie Law Office, for legal counsel for the Village of Louisville. A motion was made by Trustee Clifton and seconded by Trustee Byers to approve to enter into vendor contract agreement with Attorney Darren Rice of Fyie Law Office for legal counsel for the Village of Louisville, effective as of October 24, 2017.
